ABOUT KINETICSKUNK

We are CloudPlatformEngineers.

KineticSkunk engineers, transitions and operates AWS and Azure platforms. Our primary proposition is Cloud Managed Platform Solutions: clear responsibility for an agreed platform scope, supported by focused engineering and Platform Assurance where change, modernisation or evidence is needed.

Cloud. Secured. Simplified.

Cloud platforms should become easier to own as they mature.

Cloud estates become difficult when responsibility is fragmented across infrastructure, delivery, security, recovery, observability and multiple suppliers. KineticSkunk exists to bring those platform responsibilities into a clearer engineering and operating model.

We can work alongside an internal engineering team or take responsibility for an agreed platform scope directly. The boundary is documented, the required platform change is made explicit and the operating model continues to improve as workloads and requirements change.

HOW CUSTOMERS START

Start with the work. Or start with the platform.

You have a specific problem to solve.

We may begin with migration, modernisation, containers, cost optimisation, recovery, security, delivery, Quality Engineering, observability or another focused platform need. The engagement can end in a defined handover, or the resulting platform scope can transition into managed operations where continuing ownership is useful.

You already have AWS or Azure and need clearer ownership.

We assess the current estate and responsibility model, agree what KineticSkunk should take on, stabilise or improve what needs attention and transition the agreed platform scope into a managed operating rhythm.

The cloud platform is only part of the production system.

Delivery pipelines, testing, observability, recovery and security controls affect whether the platform can be changed and operated safely. Platform Assurance connects Governed Delivery, Quality Engineering, Cloud Observability and Resilience Testing & Assurance to the wider operating model.

Experience where platform trust matters.

KineticSkunk works with organisations whose cloud platforms support important customer, operational or regulatory outcomes. FinTech and HealthTech are important areas of experience, where availability, transactional or clinical reliability, data protection, controlled change, recovery readiness and evidence often receive additional scrutiny.

KineticSkunk is based in South Africa and works with local and international organisations.

How we approach the work.

Clear ownership

Responsibility should be explicit. We document what the customer owns, what is decided together and what KineticSkunk is responsible for.

Engineer for operations

A platform change is not complete merely because it has been deployed. We consider how it will be monitored, supported, recovered, changed and improved.

Evidence over assumption

Testing, telemetry, recovery evidence and documented controls are more useful than claims that a platform is secure, resilient or ready.

Use technology deliberately

We use cloud services, containers, delivery tools and automation where they improve the operating outcome, not because they are fashionable.

Improve continuously

When KineticSkunk owns an agreed platform scope, optimisation and improvement continue after transition rather than waiting for the next project.

Built in South Africa. Working beyond it.

KineticSkunk is a South African company with engineering and delivery capability serving local and international organisations. We continue to invest in engineering capability and talent that strengthens both our customer work and the wider technology ecosystem.

Our team

Our team brings together Cloud Platform Engineers, cloud and solution architects, delivery and DevSecOps specialists, Quality Engineering capability, observability expertise and security and resilience disciplines. The combination matters because production platforms rarely fail along organisational service-line boundaries.
